The Inventus Process Map
The Inventus Process uses best-of-breed technology at each step in the document processing and review stages of discovery. First, the Inventus Pre-Review tools focus on culling down and/or organizing the dataset to minimize the costs of file conversion and make your document review more efficient and organized. Once both electronic data and paper documents have been “processed” to a set of .tiff files, all of your documents are ready to be loaded into your local case management database or an Inventus supported web-hosted solution accessible anywhere with an Internet connection. After the document review, the Inventus team can then finalize document sets for production.
Pre-Review Tools
- E.1 Data Maps
At the outset of the Pre-Review Culling phase, your data is indexed in order to provide you with a Data Map presenting a high-level graphical view of your data with approximate volume by file type. This high-level view enables you to quickly discard large sections of the data as being irrelevant or nonresponsive such as computer system and program files, as well as providing you with a proper understanding of dataset size.
back to top » - E.2 De-Duplicate
The De-Duplication tool reduces your document collection by eliminating all duplicate files either “vertically” by custodian or “horizontally” across the entire dataset.
back to top » - E.3 Native Pre-Review
The Native Pre-Review tool powered by Clearwell allows you to review your deduped dataset in native format. Here, you can perform both high-level and detailed searches as well as executing various filtering strategies to further cull down the dataset.

Document Processing
- e.4 Text/METAData Extraction
Once you have used the above tools to cull your dataset, metadata fields and full text can be extracted.
back to top » - E.5 TIFF CONVERSION
The Inventus team will then convert the remaining native files to TIFF images in preparation for the document review.
back to top » - P.1 Scanning
Inventus also has the ability to image your paper documents locally. Imaging and electronic file conversion specifications can be mirrored to produce a consistent set of TIFF images and metadata/coded fields across the overall document collection.
back to top » - p.2 Coding/OCR
The TIFF images can then be run through an OCR processing engine in order to create “text-searchable” and indexed documents into one collection.

Inventus Review Tools
- LOCAL OR Web-Hosted Data base
Custom load files and TIFF images are now ready either for delivery into your local casemanagement database or to be uploaded onto Inventus servers and web-accessible in IPRO View or through the Concordance FYI software application.
back to top » - Blowbacks
For a paper review, TIFF images with (or without) metadata/coded information can be locally printed in multiple sets with customized specifications.
back to top » - Modified Production Sets
After your team has conducted the document review and tagged documents for privilege and responsiveness, the Inventus team can modify and make final production sets to produce to opposing counsel or to preserve for privilege.
